Jesus said, "where two or three are gathered together because they are mine, I am there among them." (Matthew 18:20). We have called the place where the church meets The Gathering Place to make it clear to us, and to all who know us, that the church is not a building - it is people!
PPC was birthed in 1964 in the community of Bay Ridges. For the first few years of its existence, the congregation met in a school auditorium. In 1968, property was purchased at the corner of Eyer and Oklahoma Drive and a small building was erected. In 1978, a new auditorium and Christian Education facility were added. By 2000, PPC had outgrown the property and moved to its current location.
We are a multi-cultural congregation that celebrates our diversity. We like to think that PPC is a microcosm of what it will be like in heaven, as described in Revelation 5:9, where we are told the people of God will be "from every tribe and language and people and nation."
We periodically host a catered lunch after the 11am service on a Sunday morning. This is an opportunity for those new to Pickering Pentecostal Church to enjoy a meal and meet with our pastors. It also provides an opportunity for us to get to know you and your family.
We hope to see you at the next Newcomers Lunch.
